UK underground artist Banksy came to NYC recently and made the
entire 5 boroughs his playground like canvas for the entire month of October.
Highlights included a tribute to the victims of 911, a secret art sale to
unsuspecting buyers in Central Park and a 24 art exhibit under the high-line
which included a gas station turned into a sheep pasture. Sadly many of his
pieces were painted over within hours or removed, but we stopped by a few of
the impromptu works throughout month. The buzz and hype of having Banksy around for the
month was great and he’s welcome in Gotham anytime as far as most of us in the city are
concerned.
